It is already but as part of the e-capability models...or if you specify a different model and the HEAVY DUTY 2,500KG ELECTRICALLY DEPLOYABLE TOW BAR PACK (which adds a full size spare wheel also) it deletes the 5+2 seating. Costs you £2k for the privilege though.

LR got this all so wrong!

E-capability cars are still 4wd, they are just lower horse power, manual only, 3rd row seating deleted to keep weight down and 18" alloys only, available in all trim levels. LR aren't producing a 2wd DS as the E-capability cars meet the magic CO2 figures. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

LR do seem to made some strange decisions in the specification of DS models and option availability.

I don't want 7 seats (and I don't want to pay for them or carry their weight) but I want an auto. I want an SE Tech but I also want surround cameras - it appears you can't..I want head up display too...appears you can't. The options are truly horrendous prices too for items often standard on much much cheaper cars.

Hopefully they will wise up and open up the options more across the range and reduce the prices too.

From what I recall of trying to get into the third row seats at a launch do, they are only five seats anyway with some pet stowage behind (legs not required). And as for the second row not folding flat to carry box shaped things - well !! Pointless. Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own!

Hells bells the f-pace is cheaper than a discosporty and it has 5 seats in the spec I'd like

The F pace looked massive when I saw it, the boot was big with a huge sub boot under the floor,mp lento of leg room in the second row and plenty of fancy multi coloured lights in the door pull area????

It looked very nice and could be a contender for me on vehicle change time.

I think the f-pace is 20cm longer than a FL2 but near a damnit the same width.

You can also specify a full sized spare wheel!

The F-pace is looking very credible as a FL2 replacement - assuming you don't want to do too much of the rough stuff (although it does have the same ground clearance). The interior is streets ahead of the discosport by the looks of the pics.
