My thoughlts or even my thoughts are,
1 If you do use that spring water then put a couple of Camden tablets in before use.
2 Your local water authority will be able to give you an analysis of the tap water. Then depending on whether it's hard or soft and which type of beer you're going to brew will let you decide on what needs to be added(ie salt, gypsum, epsom salts etc)
3 Before spending more time and money get yourself a good book on beer brewing.
4 Stick to beer kits then start experimenting to get a decent brew. Look at Coopers website for suggestions on improving their kits.
Above all keep trying and keep notes for each brew just in case you brew that really good one. 11 GS Bali Blue

It will then say 1 file to upload, click the blue upload button

Your picture will then appear below the box you are typing in

Click on the picture and it will insert it in the post

That's the way I've been trying
It says uploaded to library , but no joy in getting in to my post

There is a company just outside Kings Lynn (BeersofEurope.co.uk - website) who stock the biggest range of homebrew kits that I have ever seen, they do a full mail order service.

They might be worth checking out to see what they have - they also carry a massive range of beers/ciders etc.
