Quality of FM radio

Hey there,

What are your thoughts on the FM radio? It seems to be staticy at times, and doesn't even sound stereo. I'm in hte NYC metro area, but can say that the Acura RDX I used before and even Honda before that seemed to have better fidelity. Of course, I am diggin' the RDS and song titles that LR2 has.

In general, I feel I hear sound more to the front...if I tweak and put sound to back, it's there, but there seems to be a gap to the sides. The Acura RDX sound was better, even if the watts were rated at 30-40 fewer. Any thoughts about sound quality on LR2, even with its 14 speakers!

Hi Snowbren,
I have the 14 speaker system and I think radio sounds just great. Sound quality is however a very subjective matter...

You know, maybe it's the speakers...the ones in the backseat doors sound awful tinny compared to the rear and front ones...it's like the sound is only coming from those locations. However, if I get out and open rear door and listen to the speaker, some sound is there...just doesn't seem balanced to me!

I got car with dolby 14 sound by dealer order mistake instead of ordered standard 9 speakers Laughing Initally FM sounds bit not natural for me, but switching off processing and putting sound into "stereo" mode plus some adjustments finally me completely happy with FM sound. Freelander 2 HSE i6 Tonga Green

I spent a week tweaking the Audio Control/Surround Sound Settings before getting it right.

Hey there! I just took it in for a tune-up...and that was the problem...everything was on factory setting...despite fiddling with it, I never got it to sound like what it does as a result of the Land Rover technician adjusting it. I am a happy camper on the sound front Smile
