You need to explain exactly what a lift kit is really?

Whats involved, if its fixed non adjustable, once lifted thats it kind of thing, or air lift suspension youre looking at?
How much do you intend it will lift the car?

I wouldnt mind a lift kit if it could be done automatically on the move electronically say, lift the car 50mm, but expect that would cost the earth, but wouldnt want a fixed height system as it must affect handling in normal use?

Or is lift kit like a 4 poster ramp for maintenance?

Landiroamer - After a PM conversation with Mark I believe that in this particular thread Mudstuck / Mark is looking for any people interested in fitting the non adjustable, pre-determined and fixed size of spacers that fit between the suspension strut tops and the car bodyshell as a number of people, including myself have fitted previously and as detailed in this previous thread;

There's someone (jjj on the New Zealand Land Rover forum http://4x4community.co.za/forum/showpost.p...count=108) who I believe can manufacture and send these already. Regardless, he's prepared an awesome guide on how to mount them. MY2011, TD4 Auto, Xenon headlights, fog lamps DRLs, sunroof, tinted windows, almond electric seats w/ lumbar support, leather steering wheel w/ audio controls, dog/luggage guard, ambient lights, flush Whispbars, Mantec sump&tank guards, Xtrons Head Unit

I have noted that Martas fitted larger tyres being 245/70/R17 in the post:
http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic10278.html

I think it is a brilliant idea to increase the height. I am currently running 235/65/R17.

Will I be able to fit this size to my mags?

Further is there someone who`s done extreme axle twisters with these tyres and do they rub when doing so?

Skaapenator - Probably best to start a new thread on tyres rather than drift this one on suspension spacers.

I fitted the larger tyres you mention about 2 years ago as per thread below;

http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic16044.html

On the standard original equipment Freelander 2 wheels I have never had any body or suspension contact with these larger 245/70 X 17 tyres on or off road.

I also now have an even larger set of Mud Terrain 265/70 X 17 tyres on a spare set of wheels as per link below;

Thanks Uncleron.

I think I have read enough from the threads that you have provided and will gou for the 245/70/17 AT tyres.

Very helpful indeed.
