Why dont you get a raised resin gel decal made up with the correct txt "START STOP ENGINE" and place it over the faded button? At most a custom decal will cost you £10. MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

From memory - remove 2 x torx screws from above display and panel clips out, change switch and refit panel. ( disconnect battery first to be safe) 10 minute job 2014 SE Loire Blue SD4 Auto (MY15)

Thanks you guys, thanks for all idea. It seems that find a decal to fix my faded Start Stop button is the most simple way. Thanks for your suggestion indeed, but how can I find the correct txt "START STOP ENGINE"? I've never see it ! |

Take it somewhere else, they are too expensive as it only takes a few minutes to change. Get a new button, much better job. |

I replaced my start button during the summer as the engine wouldn't switch off unless I pressed the button really hard. I bought one from brookwell land rover for £9.00 plus vat and fitted the replacement by carefully levering the button out with a micro screw driver. You should remove the dash surround but I couldn't be bothered with faffing around with that. If you gently leaver the bottom at the top you will find there is 2 spring clips. The button will pull out by hand a little then use the screw driver to depress the clips then it will pop out. There is only a small multi plug connector that needs to be unplugged. Make sure you hold this or you could lose the connector behind the dash. Fitting the new button is easy clip in electrical connector then push the button firmly in place the right way up of course. |
