I seem to recall when i did mind it seems to stop at 45 degrees but should go to 90 degrees as you said, you can check by fitting the original bulb back, the new bulb should go in the same position, i remember the new bulb is a tighter fit to turn? |

My 15my lights are the same, pointing down at 45 degrees. I have just replaced the Halfrauds plus whatever percentage brilliance bulbs as the beam pattern was awful with Bosch bulbs. I'll see how they go when I drive tonight.

Further to my previous post, I have just looked at the online 14my hand book and it does show the bulb connectors angled down at 90 Deg. It also shows two bulbs, rather than just the one, as the later models have LED side lamps, in the position that the high beam bulb would be. I guess this was another item in the book not updated.
