The software upgrade did nothing. Land Rover customer services advised me to pay for the extended warranty. |

Valeter - it won't be that as it's only (as far as I know) on manual cars. Auto boxes are designed to change gear under full power. I think. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone

The no-response to throttle was really common on earlier 2.2 mondeo's and transits TDCI's with the same engine - indeed it is a failure for the ECU to switch from start to run mapping due to the idle rpm threshold being set too tight when there is a large drag on the engine from either alternator load or very cold thick engine oil. i.e. start up map runs to 700rpm, run map is 750+rpm. If the engine lands in that 50rpm intermediate zone the throttle is still disabled...
