I guess my question is, how did these ones in the pic get to being black. I assume they are factory done, is it paint or another method?

The diamond turned ones look quite expensive and smart, blacking them entirely would turn them into the ordinary cheaper wheel look wouldnt it?

I used to love the diamond turned ones, but I miss my black wheels more.

Gents don't forget that JLR made two types of wheels in this style. They could well be either wheel finished in gloss black.

Surely you can simply get them re-furbished in gloss black down there. Easy process. Just get them dipped, cleaned and painted gloss black. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come......... |

There is a coating you can apply to them like a plastidip which is peelable so you can revert back to the original if you want to.

Plostidip is crap for wheels. It doesn't last 5 minutes. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come......... |
