Of course discounting my marriage, the birth of two kids and the purchase of my Freelander (I know thats all painfully sick) I am not sure.

Two years after man had just walked on the moon, we moved out of a slum in 1971 and into a brand new council house. I was 14 and for the first time ever we had an inside toilet AND I had my first bath all to myself instead of being fourth in line on a Sunday night in front of the fire, in the living room, in a tin bath, with water heated up in a big cauldron on a gas stove that we shared with our next door neighbours, was a pretty good time for me. At the time I just could not get my head around the fact that lovely, steaming, hot water could come out of a tap just by switching it on. And we had proper central hearing instead of just a coal fire. We thought we'd won the pools. Happy days indeed. You just wouldn't understand how much that meant to us. My mum cried.
