Attacks in Paris

http://news.sky.com/story/1587373/dozens-d...and-blasts

Our thoughts can only be with the family and friends of the victims of this latest horrendous attack. Presumably ISIS scumbags! At least 60 dead now according to CNN. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

You and I both, utterly despicable what these people are capable of with their cowardly antics, just as a reminder to others, please be careful what you post and spare the mods having to intervene.

A very sad day for France indeed.

If you argument tonight is: "What happened in #Paris is horrible, but..", stop right there. You are part of problem. Nothing justifies that. Do it now ! Your a long time dead !!

This is so sad and tragic. I vividly recall watching events unfold on 9/11 on TV and the feeling of utter shock. I went to the 9/11 memorial museum last week and at times I couldn't even speak such was the impact of what I was looking at, reading and remembering.

In view of that, I can't even begin to comprehend what the families and friends of the victims of this attack are feeling. The French president has now declared the attacks as an act of war by Islamic State. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Those in charge will do as they always do though, have a press conference, condemn the actions and then carry on as usual chaps, chins up we will not be defeated.
Until a high up minister, lord etc is caught in it all nothing will be an emergency must get it sorted right now, thats my feelings anyway.
Pity someone like Prince Philip isnt in charge he would have something to say out of the window of his FL2 be sure of it and put them all back in the boats they came over in.

Shocking. Living in the countryside isolates me from the 'real' world sometimes, so I find it even harder to understand the motives

If it wasnt for our police/security there would be attacks like this every week, but as soon as they miss one the papers will haul them through the coals as usual. At work

Very true CG. The security teams have to get it right every time. The terrorists only have to get it right once. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues
2019 DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental
Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though 😎
Couldn’t afford the fuel bills so back to an older Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Significantly better than I remembered it to be…

I suppose its a very difficult thing to cover everywhere in the UK considering the cutbacks to government are insisting is done.

At least our lot dont take tips to look the other way, although a couple of years back I did used to visit an MOD site where there were guards on duty with guns who searched your car inside and out and underneath, except for between 8.30am and 9am when they went off for breakfast, then you could go in without the checks, I guess its only a situation like this that makes all the rest of the security fall down, its only as good as its weakest link so to speak.

You either do it full on and stick at it or run the risk of it all failing with dire consequences.
