, so this is going to be our first and last LR, after also having had a fuel pump, temperature sensor, and turbo fail.

What's an angle drive? Are they referring to the transfer box I wonder? Mine was replaced under warranty and they said that it was a £1700 job by the dealer. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

The bits that break most are the drive train which was a product of the Ford Motor Company. Basically it's a great design but not as tough as people think. For a few quid extra they could have put some beefier components in and made a decent job of it. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto 5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto Now Discovery Sport P250 MHEV SE |

you need to accept that once a Landrover reaches around 5 years old if you don't have a warranty you need deep pockets.

That may have some truth but I think improper maintenance has a big part to play, personally I don't think that the recommended schedule is sufficient. Just my opinion. |
