As you are probably aware, the throttle body is responsible for shutting the engine down by starving the combustion chambers of air, or at least that is how I understand it. I don't recall seeing symptoms of the engine not shutting off all together in the 12 months I have been on this forum. I remember that if the throttle body has gone/is going the shut down can last 30 seconds or so and you can get a grinding noise from the front of the engine. This may or not be your problem. I'm sorry that I am not more knowledgeable, but there may be something else that is an issue here but if the code is saying actuator sticking open then this could be the throttle body. Did you say the clunk was from the rear of the car? |

Sounds like two separate issues unfortunately. Can't help with the HDC, sorry. |
