Old Thread, but still interesting for me. It´s hard to find any pictures of G4 Freelander 2. I consider how it looks on my Black Edition with the Exp. Rack + Ladder?

Depends what you want the rack for. Looks or carrying ability. If it's to carry stuff the Frontrunner racks look more functional. A ladder isn't really need as the vehicle is quite low. |

The FL2 may be lower than its LR siblings, but for her indoors & daughter (6yrs) it's too high to reach even skis off the ski rack. A roof luggage box would present similar difficulties.

the step fits over the wheel...only when needed. never drive off with it installed as it will ruin your wheels arch (unless you have a grey car) At work

Thanks CG - but nonetheless, don't want any hint caravanitis on our Felix......(it's a slippery slope, once started before you know it the the Gypoes will have you by the short n curlies).

My own opinion is that if you end up putting stuff on the roof etc on a regular basis you should just buy a bigger car.

Ladder for back door is available new from Mantec - bought one December they only have a limited number.
