FL2 width compared to other 4x4's

I've been having a little scout about on auto trader for my next car. Looking for another 4x4 but something a bit bigger. I have been comparing them all to the fl2 and am surprised to see that autotrader state in the specs that the fl2 is wider than pretty much all other 4x4's out there. I've listed the widths below , I believe this is not including wing mirrors

Fl2 -2005mm
X5 -1933mm
Merc ml -1926mm
Jeep Grand Cherokee - 1943mm
RR sport 2010 - 1932mm
Shogun -1875mm
Porky cayenne - 1939mm

Doesn't sound right to me , anyone know if it's a balls up by autotrader or is it really wider than them all ?

Are they all including the "ears" ie mirrors? I hav e fairly tight drive around the back of the house and the FL2 is certainly a tighter fir than most cars I have had. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto

From what I can gather it's the width without mirrors. Some other sites state with mirrors the width of the fl is 2195mm

The guy that owned my house before me had the garages built to accommodate his Landcruiser Amazon and my Freely is a tight squeeze with the ears out! Shocked

I've certainly noticed that she sticks out more than other cars in a lot of the on-street parking bays despite getting her as close to the kerb as poss No Longer the owner of a 2013MY Fuji White GS

The Freelander 2 is wider than a Discovery 4 by a few cm's. The Discovery MY14> (current shape) is now however wider due to its redesigned wing mirrors. When entering a certain shopping car park I've really got to watch as I don't have much space either side of the mirror housings and with high kerbs on either side of the barrier one wrong move and you'll scrape half of the spokes on your alloys. Well that's the case with 22s on but still daunting with 19s Laughing MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

Its slightly wider than my old RRS by about 1 cm, However 'square' design makes precision guidance in tight spots fairly easy although sometimes it freaks the missus out.. Haven't scratched yet anyway ! Rolling with laughter FL2 Ex D2, D3, RRS, etc. now all gone.

1910 with the mirrors retracted and 2197 with them out. Retracted the car sits nicely in a normal parking space. I keep forgetting and unlock the car as I approach, then struggle to squeeze by the extended mirrors. Very Happy

Yes and the face lifted models are wider than the earlier models with the mirrors folded too.

Sorry my mistake its mirrors open

Pre face lift width over mirrors 2180mm
Face lifted its 2195mm

I knew there was a difference because the new one is tighter going by garage door frame.

Body width 1865 mm roughly measured in the garage between front and back door half way up.

Edit:
Remeasured with a Bosch GLM80 laser: A few mm below the side body mouldings & a few mm forward from the back edge of the front door.

2741 garage width in same position (car removed)
-405 left gap
-476 right gap
1860 mm

1882.0 mm including side body mouldings.

Note: The car was not absolutely perfectly straight in the garage & the garage walls have a few irregularities but I tried to get the dimension within reason so the car seems wide enough.

I like the very wide window sills where I can rest my arm at a higher level as a change from the lower arm rest in the door panel. Like others have noticed when parked, & close to the curb, the car does stick out further than just about every other car. Some of the other manufactures maybe using "rubber" rulers! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

The Fl2 is a lot bigger than it looks, it's similar in size to the Disco 1. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200
