I don't see an issue with private plates. They for sure don't have the stigma that they used to have maybe 20 years ago.

A private plate was a much cheaper option than upgrading to a Disovery Sport.

I did have E7PTC on my FL2 as it was the initials of my company and we were based in London E7 but we moved so I let it go with the car when I sold it. An E7 number plate in any other 'E' postcode area is a likely target for vandalism round these parts with these silly postcode wars going on. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

The really sad ones are where the owner has tried to make it look like a word or a name but cannot in the first instance spell that word correctly.
