Hi everyone, new member here but i've been viewing for a while. I've been a member on defender2 for a few years and have had a couple of 90's so not new to land rovers. My last vehicle was Toyota Hilux which was a nightmare and was off the road for nearly 6 months due to a major ball's up by Toyota! It was finally repaired (new gearbox) and sold on as i didn't really want to deal with them again!

Yesterday I picked up an approved used late 60 plate, facelift freelander 2 GS with 40,000 miles on the clock from marshall landrover in Suffolk I've got a small list of mods/add-ons i'd like to do over time and when money allows! I've just fitted some Inka seat covers today which seem very well made.

Welcome! I like the colour-my first FL2 was Tonga Green-suits the shape. The FL2 drive is a little more refined than the Defender-I hope you have a good one and enjoy the ownership experience

Looks like a new car! So much better styled than the more recent LR efforts in my opinion.

First few mod's done this week:

Cubby box/armrest with leather top, i saw a thread a while back with a member who put a small hole and grommet in the side, i've done the same so i can plug my iPhone in for charging and music.
Also fitted some genuine landrover mud flaps front and rear along with a rubber boot liner.

Excuse the mud...the lanes near home are filthy at the moment but i guess winter is kicking in now!

A couple of mods...genuine fog light bezels and a set of new take off evoque wheels with new pirelli tyres, Got a set of 5 wheels and tyres at a good price so couldn't resist! I've also got a boot spoiler on the way so hope hope to have that sprayed and fitted soon!

It's very comfy and well padded. Just about the right height for me!

Old thread but hopefully I can get a reply. Basically I have/had exactly the same cubby hole and armrest as you fitted. Thing is my wife decided to ignore me and let my 2 year old play around in the car while I quickly went into the shop and he snapped the lid off. I'm still annoyed about it and would rather get a replacement than take it out.

I told her to just leave him in his seat as I wouldn't be long but she obviously didn't listen. And wives say we don't listen 😂

Cancel my last. I've found it, seems I just needed to look a bit harder 😂
