Had a similar problem to this on mine. Changed the hoses to silicone ones, made no difference. Noise only on excelleration. Mine turned out to be the bearing failing in the turbo. New turbo fitted by independent turbo specialist ( £1300 ) problem solved.

You can feel the end of the compressor fan with the hose disconnected, but to be honest this does not help much as the bearing requires pressurized oil to run correctly. Therefore you will feel a small amount of movement. Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !

After 300 miles over the last two days the noise is even more noticeable, and there is a drop in power when under load. All the symptoms point to turbo and, in particular, hoses, so that's todays job!
