daft question regarding windows

I reckon i'm missing something simple here but how do you open or close the windows without the engine running with the key fob fully engaged? cheers

Just turn the ignition on without starting the engine.
Press the start button without pressing brake pedal in if auto or clutch in if manual. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

Press the window switch and hold all the way down and hold for 3 seconds, press it all the way up and hold for 3 seconds repeat on all 4 windows and the one shot opening should be restored.

If the battery has been connected then the windows need resetting. Either look in the manual or there are threads on here describing how to do this, takes seconds to sort out.

Well all other windows work fine, just the drivers one. I tried open, then hold 3 seconds and now it opens/closes a little then wait 2 seconds then do it again it takes about 2 mins to O/C now Smile

2 mins to open/close is a long time either the motor is on it's way out or the glass is tight in the runners have a look to make sure the window runners are clean

I have left it now, its a bit cold and damp now and that may play a part. I have left the instruction in the car to have a look in the morning.

Dont think its the motor as it was fine. I think its the reset process and I have just not got the sequence correct..I hope.
