You can buy new ones on eBay BUT it must be a new one as fobs can only be paired with a car once so second hand fobs cannot be reprogrammed to a different car. If you buy a new fob it will need programming to operate your car, a dealer or Indy will be able to do this for you, not sure of the cost of this. Short for independent, therefore not a main dealer |

I just bought a 2007 Freelander 2 HSE with 43.000 miles on it. The previous owner lost the spare key. Where/how can I find for the right key? What is needed to program the key? I live in Brazil. The cost of a new key is about 400 GPB at the dealer!!! |

Yes I bought a new fob which you need to get programmed for the car, I don't think there are any short cuts to save money unfortunately. I think the only way is through a dealer. |
