Emmm, try flicking the switch in the roof next to the rear view mirror, that might help. Same also for the rear interior light (except it's above the rear seats) ______________________

That’s a too obvious answer - the question must be more complicated but poorly composed 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Had a jeep previously by an chance? Turing up the dash illumination did do that, but then again, going over bumps often had the same effect Yes - the switch on the interior light does the same thing. 07 Freelander 2 TD4SE Tambora Flame, side steps, privacy glass, mud flaps, boot liner and a tow bar. Ok it's the Wifes but she lets me drive it occasionally - if I've been good! |

I suppose you could always take the key out when you have stopped and lock and unlock the car to activate the lights, but i have not come across a why to manually turn them on Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

I am wondering why anyone would want to have the foot well lights on As Np suggested it may be to tie up shoe laces, but unless jbassman is always driving around bare foot, this function would only be rarely used Or maybe he has some more sly reason for wanting that function - like maybe when giving a chick (ooops sorry "female") pasengers a lift at night, he kan eye their long dark stockings clad legs with ease - well its only a suggestion 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

So the actual question is what does jbassman want to do with the lights on?? he obviously wants to keep the doors locked (not a bad idea in New York ) Phil |

I noticed that if you've had your lights on, then switch off the engine, the interior lights will come on. Close enough? Phil |

If the lights are there (not on all models) then yes it would be a good idea to turn them on independently to save carrying a maglite. and to make other (sly) viewing possible 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
