Emmm, try flicking the switch in the roof next to the rear view mirror, that might help. Same also for the rear interior light (except it's above the rear seats) |

Had a jeep previously by an chance? Turing up the dash illumination did do that, but then again, going over bumps often had the same effect ![]() Yes - the switch on the interior light does the same thing. 07 Freelander 2 TD4SE Tambora Flame, side steps, privacy glass, mud flaps, boot liner and a tow bar. Ok it's the Wifes but she lets me drive it occasionally - if I've been good! |

I suppose you could always take the key out when you have stopped and lock and unlock the car to activate the lights, but i have not come across a why to manually turn them on |

So the actual question is what does jbassman want to do with the lights on?? he obviously wants to keep the doors locked (not a bad idea in New York |

I noticed that if you've had your lights on, then switch off the engine, the interior lights will come on. Close enough? Phil |

I always carry a small maglite torch in the glovebox for such events |

If the lights are there (not on all models) then yes it would be a good idea to turn them on independently to save carrying a maglite. |
