Fuel and refuelling

Yesterday the light for fuel went on when it was still 80 km showing on computer driving range. When I stopped at the fuel station, it was still to go 50 km and I have done 710 km. I put in 63 liters of diesel. According to the manual the engine should stop at 4 liters left in the tank – I have tanked at 5 – so I was lucky that the engine dint go on reduced power mode Thumbs Up ? Driving range is displayed to the empty the tank – that is misleading isn’t it Evil or Very Mad ?

I don't think that's actually right. I've seen a range of 9 on mine with no reduced power mode...

(In my defence I never normally let it get that low, but the range remaining dropped from 50 miles when the light came on to 9 in the space of about 25 miles, and in the country these days petrol stations are few and far between!)
