it seems to be the actual clear plastic as when you rest your fingers on it - the noise stops |

There shouldn't be anything to cause the vibration.

Just cut a small strip of old gasket, cork or rubber material, and ease it between the shroud and lens panel, its most like warped due to age and sun,? when you think about it the dash especially in summer gets heated up to at least 20 degrees higher than outside temperature, sometimes too hot to touch, its a wonder they stay as good as they do. |

If you can get some silicone spray into the affected area that can silence it, it will still move but you won't hear it.

Spraying it may work but may also stain the instruments ? |

When push comes to shove you have a problem, if its just light pressure needed then it should be ok? |

Try not to spray too much silicone near the cluster, as it will kill the lcd display if it gets near it |
