Knocking when clutch raised too fast

My 56 plate FL2 has started to make a loud knocking noise if you let the clutch up to fast when setting off.
I only noticed it when my daughter was parking it for me recently. I normally accelerate a bit as the clutch comes up so the revs don't drop and there is no "complaining" knock. I've checked all mountings on the engine and the exhaust and they're sound. Any sensible suggestions on what to check next would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Sounds like it could be you dual mass flywheel on the way out - endgame is new flywheel/clutch/slave cylinder etc etc Td4 XS manual, Orkney Grey, MY2014

Unless its slack in the drive drain like maybe a worn universal joint?

Problem solved

I got a couple of independents to look at this and both thought it was the clutch. The estimate for parts and labour galvanised me into action. I traded the car in for a 64 plate 10k miles model! And its clutch is a whole world smoother. Thanks for the input.

Just for the record we have had two FL2s that have exhibited a similar sort of knocking noise on pulling away and in both cases it was down to the air cleaner assembly rattling as some of the rubber grommets supporting it had come adrift. We found this by pulling away with the bonnet open and someone walking alongside. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

It might be from the engine to chassis tie/stabilser bar, rubbers worn causing the engine to kick forwards or backwards as you take up drive quickly?
