Reversing sensers

Hello all. Put car in reverse today after it had been raining all day and the reversing beep was constant even though there was nothing behind. It seemed to be ok after restarting after a few miles. Will check again tomorrow but it's 2nd service this week so will mention it. Strange fault?

Nothing unusual....my 2 Freelanders and a friend's have all done it after lots of rain. "It's a feature of the system, sir!" Smile
Seriously, they don't like water in them! 2011 SD4 HSE Auto

When washing, do not direct water straight at them, keep them clean and they will be fine in the rain Thumbs Up

Haven't washed it recently, but don't point the hose at these. Will see if I get same tomorrow as its tipping it down again. I haven't had this in 2 years and brake light has been replaced twice, so it's been pretty wet in the past. I will mention it at the service. Ta

Give them a wipe, especially between the outer ring and the inner disc, dirt trapped around there won't help. Thumbs Up

Even a spot of polish residue can cause them to malfunction, or on the fronts a splattered fly.
