Got a 2011 MBP which has been in daily use since new , over the last couple of weeks I have started to get incoming emails going directly into my Trash folder (Ebay emails in the main) .

I'm pretty sure that when something lands in junk, you can click on something that says 'not junk' and I assume you can just drag things from trash to the inbox and it should then remember that. I've never had stuff going straight to trash, just to the junk box. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

As above post. Depending on your OS, in MacMail it should turn brown in Trash. There is a button at the top of the toolbar that simply says "Not Junk" - click it, and all will be well for future deliveries. Foraging near Gaydon....

I have to say that this problem is a new one on me. I have had emails go into the junk folder but not the trash folder. Have you tried the Mac forums? I had a problem with my Mac a few years ago and the boffins with the know how on there sorted it for me. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Alternatively, right-click (if you have set your trackpad up for this) the entire mail in the trash folder, and scroll down to "Not Junk"

When you look at the mail in the junk folder it should give you the option to move the mail from the junk folder into your inbox, probably by clicking the folder icon (this is on my iPad, not sure about the MBP). Move the mail to your inbox, once moved the mail system should recognise that sender next time as normal mail. |
