It’s funny – I was contemplating to climb it up myself. What stopped me was the presence of these two guys, didn’t feel like showing off or making a fool of myself. When I walked up I saw how treacherous the hill is. There is another one next to it, where obviously lots of people have climbed up as well.

Absolutely, I'm just waiting for a break in my work load. Good choice not driving that hill.

Mate, that is real hard core! I need to talk to you about this kind of stuff, when I see you next time. Good luck with Simpson, cant wait to see you through. Hey chalkey, I'm glad you like my images. I wish I could put more photos, but it takes so much time to load them to Photobucket and then embed their codes into a post here. The link I put at the beginning of this thread gives you access to my site, where you can see a lot of photos, not only of my latest trip. Cheers! |

Hey Vesko, long time no hear. You weren't illegal being in the desert out of Birdsville. You don't need a permit while you are in Queensland unless you want to camp on the side of the track. Then its about $6 per person per night which is the cost for camping in any Queensland national park. The Desert Parks Pass is only for South Australian sections of the track.

Mate, the thing you might not know is that for us to drive to those places is the equivalent of you driving to North Africa distance wise.
