Take out the filler plug and syphon the old oil out, you wont get every drop out but will most of it and then refill with new oil??

Thanks Landiroamer, sound advice. However, I don't have access to a hoist and am a wee bit too old and stiff to crawl around underneath - hence the reason that I took it in to get this done. I've seen so many horror stories regarding Freelander 2 transmission woes that I thought getting all of the associated fluids changed, along with any filters, would be a good prevention. What I'm really looking for is someone within an hour drive of Whitchurch Shropshire that might be able to assist. |

If you had asked Graham at Chester Automatics I am sure he would have done the job at the same time as the auto box. Give him a ring. Bill Life Honorary Member of Wallasey Motor Club. Licenced MSA Radio Operator for 35+ years. Rallying is the only sport. |
