open the boot and look at the plastic panelling at the top, the middle section is separate and will just prise off with a bit of force. you can then access the screws holding the brake light in and remove the brake lens as one. (at least this is how it is my MY2008)

Take off the plastic inner middle panel . Then there are 2 white ? clips on either side of the light. Push these in towards the centre and it pops off. To put it back on just push the light assembly back on from the outside. I've had mine leak a few times - I'm on my 3rd now whilst its in warranty. When its out of warranty , I'll just smear silicone grease around the mating of the car body and the light |

There is a recent post on the site somewhere that will give you a more detailed description of just how to get the panel off as there is a potential annoying issue with two panel clips and you can make it easier or more difficult for yourself depending on how you go about it!

Thanks all, good tips - that interior cover is quite a tricky beast and I suspect easy to snap bits off.

I just yanked the panel off , but fairly evenly ie a straight pull. Probably the only job I will ever attempt on this car since I break things every time I touch a mechanical job ! |

Looks like the problem is it only clips in and not screwed, mines slack but doesnt leak, I think a thicker spongier gasket would be better actually. |
