whilst the DAB reception may be very good in the DS, the sound output from the stock radio in the HSE is terrible
No treble, flat midrange, and woolly bass .

I am a bit of an audiophile, and love high end hifi - perhaps I am just spoilt.

I have oyster coloured seats in my X3 and after 15 months the leather is still exactly the same colour as when I had it, quite often wearing jeans and no dye runs at all, my gaffer however has a new RRS and after 12 months his seat was almost blue!!

I dont think you can beat a light coloured interior with a panoramic sunroof, whoops sorry DS owners you get a fixed piece of glass...... I was looking a J77's rear seat shot and the only thing I don't like is the light coloured back of the front seats - I would guess easily prone to marking, my X3 has black seat backs (see below)



One thing I don't like and I think the DS is the same is that the seat pockets at the back of the front seats are nets rather than a proper pocket - thus anything in them can be seen. As typical with BMW's - even the nets are an optional extra..

I have Meridien in my 2013 HSE and I don't get what's so good about it.

DAB radio, FM, CD, DVD, IPod and streaming.

DAB isn't much cop out of cities. I've never used the CD. I can't watch DVD's without the motor running because the car shuts down after a few minutes.

The IPod and streaming are fine.

The Sat Nav is dire. It's been in 3 times for fixes. I hope last weeks trip to the dealer sorted it. It would freeze in "initialising" half the time. When I tried to input a post code I couldn't becasue the car thought it was in Ukraine when it was sitting in m drive in northern England. A couple of dealer visits and the initialising fault was still there but the car now thought it was in Belgium.

LR Assist we're useless. A very nice man on the phone who wasn't familiar with the system. When I too one dealer the car was now in Belgium they told me that's because the software was made in Holland. Go figure that one.

The latest trip to another dealer has I hope sorted it.

I bought my car from stock rather than ordering it. Was this an expensive option on my car?

If I get a Discovery Sport HSE with the standard audio, what will I not have that I have now? 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE

been without my loan DS for a while - miss the car like driving experience and silent cabin 

Had this for a couple of days while the FL in dock. Still not changed my opinion. Far from convinced its a worthy successor.

does yours have off road navigation? 

No idea never played with the electronics/entertainment, it had a GPS antenna so am amusing it had navigation
