First thoughts

1. Its some sort of black / grey - looks like a fox turd on wheels ( in case you are not aware - i HATE black / grey cars )
2. Much quieter in the cabin on start up, and when driving - u would suspect a different engine if not told otherwise
3. Love the 9 speed box, not perfect, but light years in front of the 6 speed box of marbles in the freelanders
4. hate the poor rear view visibility
5. hate the door mirrors, reduced view compared to the FL2
6. drives much more like a car, less wallow, corners better
7. door card is too high - where can I rest my builders arm Sad
8. a few rattles from parcel shelf and windows
9 love the button to activate the rear camera
10 not sure about having the NAV maps on a SD card in the arm rest box
11 where is the dash DVD player gone Sad kids will be pi55ed
12 new car - why no built in dash cameras - sort of makes sense if you think about it.
13 No CD Player - many people who buy these cars will be of a certain age and will have a CD collection
14. Still loving the 9 speed and Updated SATNAV and increased MPG
15. Love the 7 seats, wit the middle row sliding forward to increase load space
16 still undecided on the looks
17 stop start works well and is seemless. well overdue, I dont know why it was not added to AUTO FL2's

Must take an ewoke for a test drive, if it is as refined and as quiet as the DS, and the gearbox performs as well, and it has the same updated SATNAV - it could be a close call on which car buy next.

I like it soo far.

No10, it's supposed to be a better system than the more expensive HDD system fitted to the cars with the meridian sound system, I haven't used mine so don't know if it's true.

No13 on your list hasn't caused much problems with owners as most all play music from iPod or Bluetooth streaming or have put their collection onto a USB stick. CD players are a thing of the past. The last time I played one was in 2011 in my 11MY GS SD4.

No16, only thing I don't like is the rear lights, they look cheap and nasty, they look ok when lit up. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Press the NAV button twice, then select ON ROAD or OFF ROAD. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

tried that Smile

no joy.

It seems the off road nav is an option - I managed to download and read the manual
It should appear on the soft button screen as well.

oh, for me the MPG I achieve is at least 20% better than in my MY13 HSE SD4,so very happy.
Loving the almost total lack of road noise from the tyres.

after a quick visit to the dealer.
it is confirmed "off road" navigation is an option on the DS Sport
So no compass breadcrumbs etc as standard Sad

Trouser belt has even left black deposits on my pimento - luckily nothing permanent!

I saw a white one parked up in Milton near the XXXX brewery. First one I have seen on the road. Wife wasn't happy that I spent so long staring at it whilst I was supposed to be concentrating on the road. I always seem to get into trouble when the DS gets a mention. Confused 1st time FL2 owner. 2007 SE i6 in Tambora Flame.
