I believe that model is 2WD and has no 4WD capability so Terrain Response was not fitted Confused

Probably Embarassed

Terrain Response was on GS and above - S didn't have it when I had mine Confused

I saw the E in your model and assumed that was the one you were asking about Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

If it's an S they didn't have Terrain - just 4WD Thumbs Up

Not sure about the E designation in your case - I know that relates to stop/start but some were 2WD too - never understood why Rolling Eyes Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Was it eD4 -2wd
TD4-e 4wd with stop start

S models until relatively recently didn't have terrain response. GS upwards had terrain response.

eD4 was available almost all the way through the range not just on S models

My "S" has terrain response, although it is an early 2011MY model. It's not an "e" though.

We had two S models and my son used both extensively off road. He thought that the "S" behaved the same as you get on the GS and above on the first setting. ie adequate for most situations. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto

A friend is an agronomist and spends all his time up farm tracks and in fields checking crops using an S without terrain response and has never had a problem Thumbs Up Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

That's what my son does. Spends his life on farm tracks and motorways. Virtually every agronomist he knows has a FL2 but they are all debating what to get next as the DS doesn't fit the bill. But that's another story. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto

early standard S spec didn't get TR or steering wheel controls or front fog lights.

supposed to be just as capable off road as the ones with TR (unless you do more serious off road stuff)

the 2WD versions are also supposed to be pretty off road.
