Good to see them going for worldwide brand recognition but I would have thought that Jaguar would have been more appropriate on a racing boat. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

The partnership is with JLR, but they (JLR) wanted to use the LR branding

LR have a long history of yacht sponsorship, they have sponsored Cowes week and the Scottish series in the past. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

Yes, come to think about it I now remember going to a corporate event at Cowes week back in the 80's with a customer and there were Landrover banners everywhere. There was so much booze flowing that we could hardly stand up at the end and they served lashings of black coffee on the boat home to try and sober us up. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto

This is possibly the best chance of the UK winning the cup, the force behind the team and boat is going to be tha tactician. the helmsman does as he is told, the boat manager also, in racing the tactician is the skipper, it also helps if he calls the shots ashore. and it appears that Ben does. This has never happened before, so the chances of the USA team out psyching Ben Anslie are remote, the only problem is the US changing the specifications at the last minute (they've done it before when they think they may lose) The designer will be Adrian Newey, late of Red Bull, Maclaren and Williams an expert in fluid dynamics, so it's going to be a bit radical, there's nothing like radical to bring the US holders to court. The US will have all the data of how Ben won it for them in digital format, but can their tactician use that information to beat the UK with Ben Ainslie who's tactical sailing brain means his decision is instant, rather than consulting a program and reacting to it, assuming it is in the rules,( the holder makes the rules) my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
