I have only covered 1200 miles in my FL2 TD4 manual and ave 37mpg on a 70 mile round trip(10 miles city driving) I am not driving the car hard. On the open road I sit at 60mph with the cruise control on. Will my mpg increase when the car is fully run in? as my FL1 TD4 was giving 40 mph on the same trip.

Very Happy

I now have 12,500mls on the clock and have noticed very little difference in MPG from when it was new to now.

I have found it really does depend on how you drive. Treat it gently on a run and be rewarded with up to 45mpg - Drive at high speed and it will drop to 36-38mpg.

I do a real mixture of motorway and London driving and normally average 37ish per tank full.

Others have said it on here and I would also recommend a dose of Millers every few fill ups as the milage piles on - Mine definately runs smoother, but I cannot say I have noticed any improvement in MPG.

Still wearing an ear to ear grin every trip Smile FL2 TD4 XS Santorini

It seems to be 'hit or miss' with regards to mpg, some people get very good fuel consumption and others don't. The salesman that I delt with stated he gets 42mpg on a similar journey to me. I will try some Millers. I used to use Redex in my FL1 and was convinced that it did help. Very Happy

I'm regulalry getting over 40 (indicated, although I'm calculating just about 40 based on miles done and fuel added from fill to fill fro the first 4400 miles).

I filled up in Birimngham on Wednesday evening and then drove 2.2 town miles to a friend's flat just off the Aston expressway A38M. I got up in the morning and drove A38M, M6, M1 to Milton Keynes between 6 and 7:30, did a day's work at a client premises and then drove home to Harrrogate departing at 4:45 M1, M18, A1. As I got off the A1 at Wetherby, the trip computer said 48.2 on the tankful and this dropped to 48.0 by the time I got home on A/B/local roads.

Local driving on Friday and at the weekend has brought it down to 43.2 now but it just shows what FL2 will do motorway cruising at about 60-65 (but <50 between J26 and 27 on M1!).

Cheers

Just returned from a holiday in France managed a paltry 35MPG (rather than my normal 31) plus a 90 euro fine for speeding courtesy of the local gendarme (although that could have been 180 but the first time I got let off when he saw the GB sticker). Banging Head
