I know we can all get a bit happy with ourselves for owning the FL2, but I took this after 83 miles on a 350 mile round trip yesterday, althouth admittedly it dropped to 45.4 by the time I got home. My mate owns a Santa Fe (Rice and sweet and sour - You know the one) He is absolutly gutted with his 30-32 MPG Big Cry

I'm not sure, but I can't help thinking you shouldn't be taking pictures of your dash while driving at 58mph. Whistle

USA MPG

Wow. I wish the TD4 was available here in the US. I've been happy with 16-17mpg in city and 21-22 on the highway. I think it's an oil company conspiracy. Mad

We think 4.50 gal for diesel fuel is too expensive here. I'll take the 40+ mpg!

You could easily increase your mpg if you used our gallons instead of yours! (1 imperial gallon = 1.2 US gallon) 2007 Baltic Blue SE TD4 Auto

In Norway the farmers get subsidised (cheaper) diesel for farmers/tractor use. The only difference is the colour of the stuff for identifying unlawful use. Just wondered if the UK had a similar system? Whistle Whistle Whistle 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Tractor fuel is dyed red to identify it, It is not subsidised, it receives a much lower rate of duty than road fuel mainly because tractors don't spent much of their life on the road. Any tractor not employed in a farming role whilst on the highway would have to run on road fuel at the high duty rate.

Recently at the Yorkshire show a fleet of tractors where employed to tow wagons out of the grass car parks, as these tractors towed the trucks from field to highway the customs and excise decided they should have road fuel in their tanks so stopped the towing operation causing big delays for the stranded trucks.

I might add that the customs and excise vans are frequently at agricultural events to test the fuel in car tanks to make sure farmers and their friends arn't pouring the cheap stuff into their cars. At work

C&E are a set of Censored

A tractor pulling out a vehicle off agricultral land is going to be on the road for very little time, then back on the field to do it again.
