Can anyone confirm if there is a breather on the final drive unit? (Of the FL2)

I have a leak where it joins the drive shaft and thought of checking for a blocked breather in the first instance. I had a quick feel (!) and came across nothing likely, so thought I'd check with you guys before getting properly dirty for no reason!

Yes, there is a breather pipe. Top of the diff I think towards the nearside. In any event I would change the leaking diff seal - not difficult and the seal is cheap. John

I'll investigate with a torch any mirror re the breather.

I have ordered new seals and a new hub nut. Seems straightforward enough (but have never done one before).

The only thing I'm slightly anxious about is the massive torque setting for the hub nut. My torque wrench can't go that high.
Is it a case of finding my fattest friend and a length of scaffold pole to increase leverage?
