Thanks Nomad, that was most helpful and interesting. I now know my FL is MY13 and I can also see when it was last serviced and when it is next due. Is there any way to see what the last service included, e.g filter changes etc, or is this something only a dealer can access. To tap your brain a little further, how can I find out the type and version of my Satnav. (My stepson's MY12 Discovery's satnav, updated sometime last year, has a different menu and accepts inputs of postcodes much faster than mine, but maybe I ought to post separately for this query) |

Saw Magpie, obviously from down under. Got my MY13 6 months ago & it's only got 2500 on the clock so far. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Currently on my second FL2 with 66k on the clock, ran the first one to 90k. I'm a land surveyor so they're a tool of the trade and get a hard life. Only major problem with either has been water ingress into the passenger footwell on the first FL2 which the dealer (with some help from LR) took a week to trace to a seam that hadn't been completely welded, but all fixed under warranty. |

I've been lurking for a while having been contemplating purchasing a MY11 Freelander XS Td4 and have now taken the plunge.

hello there i,m montyonty. i have in the last 10 weeks bought a freelander 2 from nottingham landrover. i didnt have the best experience with the purchase, so when i needed it to be looked at i took it to my local dealer in doncaster. the problem i had was it would lose power as you were setting off, not very good if entering a roundabout. the dealer did the fix and everything was good for a week or so, then while towing our caravan it started again. i contacted stratstone at doncaster, they said that the job they had done was resetting some software, and it had been successful. and they had never had to look at a freelander for a second time!!!!!!. it is now booked in for a second time. i have been put on to this forum as i am told that i will get some good responces and hopefully some help now it appears i will be dealing with landrover.
