In a nutshell it looks bloody terrible, it looks like something a seventeen year old would do, sorry to be blunt but just my opinion.

@Muckboots: Can you tell me what you don't like ? Are you talking of the first wheelset ?

Regarding the Plastidip on the original wheels, it was good looking the first year.
I have Taken it off this afternoon. Plastidip = bad experience.

I personnaly think the wheelset stands better in silver.

Looking for a Kahn cosworth silver 19" for the next one (for summer tires).

It doesn't matter if Muckboots or anyone else doesn't like it, they're entitled to their own opinion.
But it's YOUR car and you should change and modify it to suit YOU, not what others think. FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,
Bluetooth Music Streaming Module.

The main reason they dont like front windows tinted is it prevents the police seeing who is actually driving and it might not reproduce your face properly on camera should one take one of you, nothing to do with you being able to see out, though thats the excuse they will use, its all about them seeing you.

The fact you can drive with a burka on, well thats something they cant do anything about because of human rights, maybe that will all change too when we have the bill of British Rights come out ?

Well! in Auatralia we have legal heavy tint on all windows and the cops can still get a clear picture of you so I can't see why in the UK their equipment would be inferior!!!!

Did you spray the grille & side repeaters yourself or buy them , if so where did you get the grille? ..I don't know whether to spray mine or buy black..

Just clip them out and spray them - It's an absolute doddle and I'm useless at all things spray paint (after a botched and abandonned wheel refurb on a previous vehicle).

You can do the whole job in a couple of hours for the price of a spray can (or nowt) if like me you have a can lying around the garage gathering dust! Hence I went matt. I was planning on gloss black but as the matt matches both the roof rails/bars, door handles, mirrors and side tubes, it's now staying permanently...

here's the pics - http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic23478.html

I tried 2 things:

First: Plastidip on the front grille, side vents and badges and wheels. Good for 6 months, then it started to become more and more grey. So I took it off (with quite a lot of difficulties...)
Plastidip has been a big waste of time and money in my opinion.

Now: Front grille, side vents, badges are genuine and painted in gloss black by a professional coach builder. The result is 3 times better than with plastidip. It looks genuine and smart.

You can't buy the front grille because it is fixed on the bumper, but when the coach builder painted it, he did not take the grille off from the car.

--> Make it spray gloss black by a pro, it is the best result you can have !

Agree! plasti dip is nasty stuff!!!
Only reason you would want to use plasti dip is to get an idea what a part would look like painted. Thumbs Up MY15

Debating wether to go plasti dip or just spray my side vents properly.

Do you know of any good exterior sprays that would work and last well?
