Weird thing is mine was in the dealers on a previous occasion Having a burning smell investigated, and I now seem to be suffering electrical issues on my car. This just rubbed salt into the wound. Shocked

I have got out of mine twice with burning smells but it was suggested on here that it could be the DPF. The first time it did it was the day after we got it!! (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

So my fl2 is now in the dealer having the boot repainted again, this is what my car originally went to be fixed for when the loan car went kaboom. So i have an awful drug dealing ewok loan car now that the wife and I are to embarrassed to drive. So we're arguing over who gets to drive the citroen Picasso now!!.

I do worry about Land Rover, the loan ewoks tyres are under and over pressure at 15-41 psi, the fuel guage dosnt work, the gearbox makes a grinding noise and the exhaust is blowing and the turbo is whistling for England.

If my car comes back unfixed this time I will park it at the dealer and just walk away. Go buy another citroen.

Which dealer did the car come from just out of interest? (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

My car came from Harwoods tonbridge, the loan car (one that caught Fire also from there).
For the recent boot repair (2nd time round) car went to harwoods croydon as that's where the main paintshop is, this was organized by customer relations but then all communications failed between Land Rover and the dealer and my car was not repaired and instead given back with a nice dent.

My burning smell was not dpf, that smell is distinctive. first time around a faulty parking brake and second time around problems with the radiator fans were the suspected cause of my smells.

Its a jolly good job it wasnt parked up in a garage integral with the house as the whole house could have gone up with it and you would be waiting for an even bigger cheque from Land Rover Sad

The car insurers always ask if the car is garaged, if so you can get cheaper insurance on it, so maybe in this type of situation the house insurer should ask the same and if you say yes it is they will put your premium up just in case in burns the house down?? Shocked
