Don't know what made me think of it, but when I took early retirement in 2012 the company I worked for had a large contract to help provide public transport for the Olympic games. I was privvy to a lot of what was gong on with logistics and security and heard this story a couple times but never found out if it was true or not

Seems a bit iffy. Was the landscapers truck craned in and out when building the garden? Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own! |

Anything is possible down here, the guy at the end of my road had a Hot Tub lifted over the house and dropped in the garden

There are lots of rather posh houses in Blackheath. I worked the Olympics in Greenwich, (not as an athlete) and never heard that rumour. |

The cost of two crane lifts is, in the grand scheme of things, insignificant. Particularly against the value of a shiny new RR of any variety.

Land Rover do actually give quite a few vehicles away for nothing.
