Towing my caravan back from the highlands last week I stopped at a lay by . When I got out of the car there was a smell of burning clutch . I was a bit perplexed as it's an auto. Is this normal ? Do it now ! Your a long time dead !! |

Thanks lol Geoff but non of the scenarios happened to me. I had been towing for an hour or so , up and down some steep hills . The smell came from the engine bay 100% , I touched all six wheels and they were cool. Do it now ! Your a long time dead !! |

It will be the DPF or catalyst smelling with the extra loading on the engine. |
