Thanks for the ideas, tried both still no joy. If you inch window up to closed position then lift button again to close position window drops to 2/3 open |

I believe that these things work by sensing the current in the motor, this saves the manufacturer having to put switches at each end of the travel to determine end points. So I wonder if there is some obstruction or tightness near the top of the travel such that the motor has to work harder and the extra current is being sensed as an obstruction or alternatively perhaps the motor is shorting out internally. What happens if you try to "help it close" by getting someone to push the glass upwards whilst you try to close it? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

I had this on mine. Only cured by disconnecting the battery for a while then doing the window reset. Silver 2009 HSE |

Thanks for the prompt replies, the window moves smoothly up and down at same speed as other windows, no sign of any obstructions or problems with channel. But still on reaching its "closed" position it drops to a 2/3 open. I have not tried disconnecting battery yet that will be next. But off on holiday (pedaling round Tuscany ) so things will have to wait till I return. Once again thanks for all your help. |
