United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Ipanema Sand
p244a split hose

Hi,
Had the dreaded Reduced Engine Performance message and engine warning light on my 2011 fl2. Plugged in a cheap OBD reader and got code p244a dpf differential pressure too low. Inspected under the car and each sensor runs from the dpf into some rubber piping both of which have a split in them, this rubber section is no more than 6 inches or so. Are there any recommendations of what to replace this with. I've seen repairs on other cars done with fuel hoses. I've seen some generic dpf pressure sensor hose on ebay for £70 which seems absolutely ridiculous. What is it made of that makes it so special?

Cheers
