Could you give the price inc VAT and postage for one of the bolts that holds the engine cover on a MY2013 2.2 diesel please?

It is about an inch long with a washer/sleeve on it. Unfortunately the mechanic at the last service lost the washer/sleeve and it is an integral part of the bolts function.

Many thanks for the bolt which arrived today.

Unfortunately it lacks the collar part which I thought was part of the bolt and from the original post is the bit I am actually missing. I have included a photo of the one bolt I do have which is complete.

Is it possible to source the collar/sleeve please?

think it may be the green highlighted part you need then...

Sadly not. The green part highlighted mounts onto the engine itself and the engine cover bolt screws into that. The sleeve/collar as in my photo is not in your diagram unless it comes as part of the bolt itself (which it didn't when you sourced and sent me one) or is part of the engine cover (which would have a rubber grommet as well, also not shown).

Unless there is a more detailed diagram with those parts listed separately, I am a bit stuck.

i think its going to be part of the engine cover itself, hard to tell from the diagram but you can almost make out the sleeve on the cover itself, i'll drop an email to technical and see if they can confirm this or hopefully provide a part number for the sleeve.

Thanks Badger - a Google search on the part number comes up with a 'bolt plus washer' description but any images just give the bolt - not sure if they are counting the wider flat underside of the head as a 'washer'.

Dan - any response from technical yet?

In the meantime I have been onto the servicing dealer. My original plan (to save the inevitable drive in, wait a while, be told something, have to return once more at a later time to sort it; each time an hour or so and a gallon of fuel with no apology for loss of my time...) was to get the bolt/washer from your good self.

They have said to bring it in. Unless they have a spare one sitting on a shelf, I think they may get a shock when I insist it is sorted and it is their problem to fix, and it means a new engine cover!
