Get them to check it properly before you get it. I took mine in with a noise that everyone thought was the diff. Turned out to be a transfer box. £2500 worth of parts and work under extended warranty. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

you should get a years warranty from the dealership, so you should not have any immediate worries anyway.

Thanks, all, I will give them the opportunity to get it fixed. I bought my Defender and SWMBO's FL2 there so have a good relationship with them. |

Search around the forum you might find its a wheel bearing too. Sounds like they knew about the fault but this way they get paid to fix it under warranty. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Quick update. Got cold feet over this vehicle, a 2011 HSE auto with 36k miles, since even if the diff(?) problem is fixed now, it has already had 2 owners in 4 years and there might be other problems to come along.

Good plan... always best to walk away if you are not convinced about a car. John
