So not the one that you can select a maximum speed and you can do a range of speeds up to the maximum you've selected.
Speed Limiter.

Not the one that the Freelander had which would hold a predetermined speed. Cruise Control.

Or a an over speed warning that you can select to give an audible sound should you go over a preset speed. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Press the ASL button on the steering wheel, drive to the speed eg 30, hit the SET button, then the car will do any thing you want it to do but won't go above 30. The set speed is displayed on the dash.

There is also a voice that informs you of the speed limit should you be doing more, this isn't in conjunction with the ASL, it's on all the time unless switched off from the cars menus.

These may have been present on Fl2 but weren't fitted to my 13MY. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Very informative thanks J77 - that means Disco Sport will be on my shopping list when it is time to change

Seeing the cameras mentioned in one of your photos...do you have surround cameras fitted?

TSR (Traffic Sign Recognition) and ASL (Adaptive Speed Limiter) have not been fitted to Freelander - they were introduced on 14MY Evoque. Now:

Well at least JLR have woken up and now fitting ASL if 5 years behind the competition. Suspect NCAP assessments have forced them into it.

Looking forward now to test driving a DS knowing it has the goodies I need..except the surround camers. Was never one for gismos but now have had ASL and cameras on another British built car they are very very useful

My Ford Kuga had ASL and it was just the thing for roadworks on the M6! It was possible to override if you put your foot to the floor... Whistle Now:

9/10 review Car Advice Australia. The white car in the review is the one I saw in the shopping centre (page 64 post), so it's had a bit of a thrashing!

Apparently the 3rd row is a $2000 option & another $1150 for third row air vents. Then one has to add all our on road taxes to the overall value of the car. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Do we know if FR2 wheels will fit? Some owners will want to hang on to their existing spare winter set if possible.

300TDi Disco (bought new - terrible car) sent back after 18 months
Freelander 1 Estate - leased, given back at end of lease

New model ex-demo Evoque S 180 in white
Unable to order a new DS, so gave up. Now have a Volvo S90 Recharge.

Not surprising really, given that Ford owned LR. Few things will be carried over. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Sorry, just something I saw on NCIS New Or leans and thought it looked similar. Pages 56-60 don't mention the Explorer. I thought Ford were long gone by the time the DS was being finalised so didn't realise there would be any influence. Bow down
