Not an exclusive LR problem, some VW's do that, including the polo my mother used to have, one time it did it in the pouring rain whilst she was in the supermarket ![]() Don't write the dealer off just yet, some of them are good. I find yelling and shouting does the trick ![]() ![]() At home ![]() "I can't always believe facts I read on the web" - Charles Dickens winner by default of the tractor vs caravan race |

I witnessed something rather odd like this a couple of year ago at a shooting event. It's very close to a military camp and training area. Someone came back from the car park saying that he couldn't get into his car as the fob didn't work. Then as the event finished we found that about half a dozen other cars (not all LandRovers) wouldn't work either. One by one the car park emptied of cars that would work leaving this stranded group and after about an hour one suddenly unlocked and eventually all except one was left (an early Discovery) which came back to life the next morning.

Yes maybe it is something interfering with it.

Just so that you know......LR Assist are in fact the AA. They wear a different uniform, and drive a LR Branded van, but if they are busy, it will be delegated to a non-dedicated division of the same company. Next time you speak to an LR Assist chap, ask him which part of Land Rover he works for.....his answer will surprise you! Foraging near Gaydon....

Yes I have had two at the house they both said that they used to work for JLR but were TUPE'd out to the AA and still had JLR terms and conditions but that there were only about 8 of them left. They complained that they now drove a van rather than a Disco and that they often got stuck visiting farms and the like where a a lot of Land Rover customers live and the customer often has to pull them out. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

A faulty key fob sounds right to me as when my fob was very worn it would open windows when I was unlocking the car

My windows have done this on a few occasions, thought i was having a senior moment. Not ideal atall. But given the electrical problems associated with the FL2 I'm not surprised at this. I'd like to think its a signal issue as discussed. |

I've had a new key fob for 2 weeks now and in that time it's been ok. |
