That wasn't really my point. It was simply feedback on those tyres on mud.

In this situation, FL2's aren't much good at towing 3.5 ton livestock trailers so it doesn't matter how much better they are than a Defender on slimy fields.

I had the same tyres fitted to my L200 Warrior and that thing would go anywhere! I have friends who run these tyres at off road play sites and they are very good Black FL2

Looking at this site: http://tire-size-conversion.com/tire-size-comparison/, this is good for comparing sizes

So for intance you compare other sizes to the std 235/65x17:
235/70 are 1" bigger in dia and at 70 will be doing 72.4
245/65 are 1/2" bigger in dia and at 70 will be doing 71.5
245/70 are 1.5" bigger in dia and at 70 will be doing 73.6
255/65 are 1.1" gigger in dia and at 70 will be doing 72.7

I cant decide to get either the 65 or 70 profile, any thoughts?

T is still good enough for the Freelander.
Iirc T=118mph and my TD4 top speed is 112mph not that I ever go that speed so I think there is enough of a safety margin.
They also have a higher load rating 110 v 104.

So T is the speed rating and the number beore it is the load rating

So the 235/65x17 104T vs 235/70x17 111T, the 70 profile tyres are a higher load rating? If thats the case then would I not be better with the 70 profile?

Checking the LR tyre approvals sheet (available on TOPIx) standard tyres are all V or H rated. As are the recommended accessories, except for Wrangler MT/R (Q rated) and Nokian H(illegible) 7 SUV, (T rated). Update on that - the information I posted was from a document "Land Rover Tyre Matrix - Current approvals". Dated Jan 2013 but as far as I know it's up to date.
However there are another two documents on TOPIx "Standard tyres (original equipment fitted)" and "Winter tyres (aftermarket fitment only)" with slightly different info (but also dated 2013).
Original equipment tyres are all V rated for 17" and 18" wheels. For 19", Conti Cross Contacts are rated 105V or 107V, Conti 4x4 Contact are rated 105H, Michelin Latitude Tour HP at 101H.
Aftermarket fitment covers winter tyres and are all rated T or H apart from Pirelli Scorpion Winter 235/55 R 19, which are V rated.
T rated tyres have a top speed of 118mph, so I would not use them on an SD4. Even though I'd be unlikely to do that speed on winter rubber, they would still invalidate my insurance.

No one carries them. My 2010 came with huge 19's!  Wait...you get 17in steel wheel options, diesel engines, manual transmissions, cloth seats, optional sunroofs and G4 kit!
