That wasn't really my point. It was simply feedback on those tyres on mud.

It does when he has them fitted to a freelander and not a defender |

I had the same tyres fitted to my L200 Warrior and that thing would go anywhere! I have friends who run these tyres at off road play sites and they are very good Black FL2

What I said was that they weren't good in mud on a Defender. You then pointed out that an FL2 is better than a Defender on slimy mud (which I did not comment on). I stated that to my friend it makes little difference which vehicle is better because only one of them will pull a livestock trailer - the defender. |

I looked at those but the 235/65/17's are rated T not H or V |

T is still good enough for the Freelander.

Checking the LR tyre approvals sheet (available on TOPIx) standard tyres are all V or H rated. As are the recommended accessories, except for Wrangler MT/R (Q rated) and Nokian H(illegible) 7 SUV, (T rated). As regards top speed, bear in mind that the SD4 will do 130mph plus (well, mine does!). Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone

Update on that - the information I posted was from a document "Land Rover Tyre Matrix - Current approvals". Dated Jan 2013 but as far as I know it's up to date.
