No. Once modified to accept Xenons, it will recognise either lamp without further tampering required. Foraging near Gaydon....

How much did you pay for the mod? Im guessing it made a huge difference as the xenons on the current LR models are impressive...... I've never driven a FL2 with them yet! Any problems from the stealers? MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior MY15 Xenon Headlight Conversion MY17 RRS SVR - Estoril Blue Cirrus/Ebony 🪣💺’s |

I have Xenons and they are hugely impressive, crisp, clear and self levelling ensure maximum beam length without dazzling oncoming traffic, you will be amazed👍👍 |

Dont know about road legal (construction and use act etc.) but speaking as an MOT tester, to pass the test, Xenon lights must have a working washer and self levelling device IF FITTED. If retro fitted with no levelling device (like mine ) it cannot be failed on the levelling device not working if it's not fitted. |

Because if they were plug and play we would all be doing the mod and JLR would lose out

My Xenons are not self leveling ( I upgraded from Halogen ). When I had them aligned at my local MOT place, I asked the question "are they legal, and will they pass a MOT" The MOT tester told me that they would not fail a MOT. Good enough for me They dont blind on coming traffic - like many after market bulb upgrade kits |

Yes, and because a quick flash of the CCF takes all of about 30 seconds, it's nice easy money for them. Freelander 2 2007 TD4 Manual HSE Tambora Flame Discovery 3 2006 TDV6 Auto HSE Zambezi Silver Previously: Freelander 2 2007 TD4 Manual SE Santorini Black |
